How Now Hungry Cow
![]()
The grass is always greener on the other side of the border, according to Jewlicious.
One group no blog seems to have focussed much on is the fate of the Israeli cow. Her grazing areas are reduced to ashes in Northern Israel. Luckily, necessity is the mother of invention, even for cows. Well, perhaps not so much invention as courage. Well, perhaps not so much courage as the willingness to travel. Some hungry cows followed the paths of human soldiers who had created breaches in the border during the conflict with Lebanon. They happily munched Lebanese grass. So take that, Hizbollah!

I saw quite a lot of cows while we were up north this week. They seemed fine to me, as did most of their grazing areas. Yes, there were some brown patches on the mountain tops here and there, but they were surrounded by plenty of green. I didn’t get to see one burnt tree up close.
I think the media must have exaggerated the forest fires a bit.
