A Different Kind of September 11

Those of you who have been reading this blog for a while know that September 11 is a happy day for me.

It’s the day that my oldest child, the most beautiful boy in the world was born. And I won’t let terrorists take that joy away from me, no sir.

Today, he’s ten years old. Ten years ago, I gave birth to him. Today, we wear the same shoe size.

Happy Birthday to the Big Brother.

But just because I make it a point to celebrate doesn’t mean that I can forget what happened on that terrible day five years ago. Here are my memories of Sept. 11, 2001.
