Desperate Housewives call for Desperate Measures?
A blog about Desperate Housewives caught a glimpse of a Hebrew newspaper on the set, and speculates that it may mean the plot is taking the characters to Israel:

Word from series creator Marc Cherry that a November storyline will involve a ‘’huge hostage situation in a supermarket,’’ that Lynette and several other primary characters will be present, that one character will be wounded, and that one lead will be killed. Via Spoilerfix
Maybe the hostage situation is terrorism in Israel? Although I find that hard to believe that the Desperate Housewives would ALL go to Israel.
Our Australian import, Dave, reaches a more reasonable conclusion: that whatever plot twist is going on, is happening in Los Angeles or some other city with a high population of Israelis, and therefore merchants who sell Israeli papers.
My analysis indicates that this is not in Israel. For a start, you would not find a sign like the below (Automatic Sliding Door) on the door of an Israeli supermarket. It would be in Hebrew.
The more likely scenario is that this supermarket is in an area of LA in which many Israelis shop, or is even Israeli-owned. And given the number of Israelis I saw on my recent trip to California, this is not too far-fetched a scenario.
My only contributions to the discussion:
I love the shoes she is wearing.
And, Teri Hatcher has no butt.
