And somewhere in Tel Aviv, a blogger who loves Apple Pie and the word “sustainable” is going through the grueling but exciting process of moving into a new home:

That’s it. Today we got the keys to our new apartment in Tel Aviv and tonight we are sleeping in sleeping bags on the floor. On Friday the furniture arrives and real life will begin. Until then, I will be running errands all over the city – buying cleaning supplies, going to the bank, Misrad Hapnim (Ministry of the Interior), etc.

Can I just say that I love exiting my apartment at 9 o’clock at night and seeing people walking down the street business as usual. And yet inside our home, it is quiet and peaceful (though perhaps a bit echoey without anything inside it).

I LOVE the city. LOVE.
