Gay supporter(s) up the ante

In case you thought that the only people acting nasty and violent in the Gay Pride Parade controversy were the religious fundamentalists, think again:

Several haredi MKs received a letter on Wednesday threatening to rape girls in the haredi community if any marchers in the upcoming Gay Pride Parade were harmed.

“For every marcher you hurt, 10 religious girls will be raped,” the letter said. “We swear to take revenge on you with the full gravity of the law. You have been warned.”

The letter was signed by an unknown group claiming to be associated with the gay community.
United Torah Judaism (UTJ) MK Moshe Gafni submitted a complaint to the Knesset Guard.

Gafni told The Jerusalem Post that the letter had been sent from Tel Aviv and was obviously from “people who have no consideration.”

    2. This is what happens when a cowardly government [Israel's] refuses to stand up for the rights of ALL its citizens. Anarchial behavior ensues, the mob takes over.

    Israel is more middle-eastern than it likes to admit.

    Thank GOD I live in America where any and all may march for any peaceful reason under the protection of the US Constitution, upheld by the government.

    3. How can you compare this one letter to the violence of the Haredi mobs? This letter was in all likelihood written by one single disturbed individual, and has received not one word of support from the gay community or its supporters. The Haredim have long ago gone from open, public threats of violence to actual physical violence, which involved large numbers of participants openly demonstrating their hatred in public, with their leaders’ explicit support, if not for the physical violence, then certainly for the threats, intimidation, and illegal rioting. Are you equating the words of one individual with the words and actions of thousands?

    4. The above two responses “blow” me away. I live in the U(UNITED)S(STATES) OF
    AMERICA. Hate speech about other countries(Israel) is not in my vocabulary or in any other AMERICAN i know! (I don’t hang out with the jihadist crowd). I am sick of seeing all the hate speech from “so called Americans”(extreme iSLAMIST’S) all over the web. Be warned “America” stands up for the Israeli people and won’t be swayed through propoganda as we are not STUPID. ISRAEL–BE PROUD OF YOUR HERITAGE AND RELIGION. I am not a Jew but I feel for you. Anyone saying you don’t have a right to exist is CRAZY. Boy, does it feel good to vent and would welcome you “Americans” to post again.
