Israeli runners heart the Big Apple

I love Israel, and I love Manhattan, so this (somewhat kitschy) video of the 50 Israelis who ran in the recent New York Marathon made me very happy.

Via Isrealli:

among the 37,000 runners were more than 50 representing Israel, cheered on by hundreds more who turned out to support them. Names written across many of their t-shirts, the Israeli runners were cheered loudly as they ran by supporters, many of whom waved flags (Israeli and others).

Of the Israeli runners who participated, six finished the marathon in less than two and a half hours, including 27-year-old Omri Holzman, who attained 54th place overall.

Donations from JLOVE.com made it possible to provide the Israeli runners with professional running shirts emblazoned with an Israel flag and the words “Israel Loves New York”.

  2. Most Jews in New York never give Israel a second thought and half will intermarry according to the current trend.

Where do people really care about Israel? Places such as San Antonio, Texas. Laughing? People down there is where the center of support for Israel’s fight has gravitated following the Liberal anti-Israel fervor of the Liberal left.

So gimme a break on the “Israel loves New York” nonsense.
