As if the Jewish people don’t have enough problems at the moment.

How did I discover this?

Heavy duty detective work. Saw at numerous gossip sites that Britney, who has dyed her hair black now (trying to look Semitic?) was making out with an anonymous guy. Finally stumbled on one that ID’d him as music producer Jonathan Rotem.

I took a look at that face and that name and my Israeli Jewdar went off the charts.

Sure enough, it didn’t take a long look at his MySpace site and press interviews to confirm that gut feeling.

Born in South Africa to Israeli parents, Jonathan Rotem began formal classical piano training in Canada. Naturally drawn to music of all kinds, Jonathan’s parents quickly recognized and supported his talent and love for music. Around the time of junior high school, Jonathan and his family moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he continued his classical training with some of the most acclaimed teachers in the area. He participated in countless recitals, competitions, and music events earning a name for himself in the music community of Northern California.

(OK, so he’s technically Israeli but not REALLY Israeli) Still, imagine his parents — you raise a musical prodigy, put him through the Berklee School in Boston…..then watch him go on produce rap music and then acheive international fame by groping a post-separation, notoriously panty-less, mom-of-two Britney Spears. They must be so proud.

  5. Again, one of those things I’m not sure “we” as a people should be proud of. OK, prepare for Bri-Jo. Or we could just call them “Brit Yonatan” and make them sound like a synagouge.
