Gray Skies, Nothing But Gray Skies

The view from Elisheva’s window.

Yup, we’ve been sun-deprived in the normally sunny Middle East. Nothing like the consistently gloomy weather in England which I recently visited — we do get hopeful glimpses of sunshine between the clouds and rain. But still, we’re a bit spoiled and much as we need the rain, it definitely puts a cramp in our style. Add to that the fact that it’s flu season. It seems like every voice on the phone is congested — about a third of my kids’ classes is out sick.

This too shall pass, though, and soon. The best thing about winter in Israel is that it’s mercifully short.
