Jewlicious Dances Across Israel

So I’m thinking this officially qualifies as a trend. Inspired by the video by Jacob Shwirtz that went viral across the Jewish blogosphere, the Jewlicious crew decided to pay tribute and also filmed their kids dancing in various locations as they made their way around Israel on their Birthright adventure.

For those reading this who don’t know, Jewlicious is a wonderful group blog which doesn’t just talk the talk, they actually recruit their readers onto Birthright trips and then lead them on mad adventures across the land of their fathers.

I hear their trips are great. But now, let’s talk about the dancing….In the tradition of the Dancing With the Stars judging, I’m going to have to rate Jacob’s horse-trotting moves above the dancing skills of Jewlicious, which at times were reminiscent of Elaine on Seinfeld.

    2. Uh… Allison? The dancing was goofy on purpose – just as I am certain Juliette Louis Dreyfuss is probably a decent dancer in real life, so to are our birthright kids actually fairly decent dancers. The main dancers are Tomer from oy bay and Phoebe who writes for Jewlicious. Both were also participants on the trip and both dance normally in real life.

    3. Yeah, yeah, yeah, a likely story! (I’m personally a lousy dancer) Seriously, does it matter if it was goofy on purpose or not? It’s all in fun.
