I'm in Israel for the second time this year at the moment. This show is real, and is recent. Last trip, our apartment had Hot, a local cable TV provider and I watched a few episodes of the show. Keep in mind I don't know a lick of hebrew but that didn't matter, it still cracked me up. These clips have a grain filter on them to make them look older, they are likely all from some parody episode I never saw over here. One episode had Tofi/Toffee pretending to be Saddam Hussein and Gorilla was George Bush. At the end of the episode they had murdered each other and there was copious ketchup/fake blood everywhere. There are supporting cast puppets including a robot and a Rice-a-Roni oven mitt thing that seems to compete with Gorilla for Toffees' affection. Episodes with English subtitles would be a perfect addition to the Adult Swim lineup on Cartoon Network in the US. It's a pseudo kids show for grown-ups who haven't grown up. I love it and I love Toffee. If I could find DVDs of the show and could find subtitles in English it would be glorious. I know I’m late to the party but thought I’d clear this up.
