Gay, Israeli and famous

One of our homeboys is beginning to make waves abroad. Singer-songwriter Ivri Lider, one of the few Israeli performers with real world class talent, is the subject of a profile on the Associated Press which is beginning to appear in papers around the US.

Called “Israel’s top recording artist and its most recognizable homosexual” the article says that his frequent tours in the US are turning him into “an unlikely ambassador for the Jewish state abroad.”
Unlikely perhaps, but maybe more offbeat alternative lifestyle artists and less politicians and government officials is exactly who we should be sending abroad.
