Bank on It

One of the most subjective relationships to be had while living in Israel is with the bank.

Relations with a personal banker handling one’s accounts oft influences those make or break tenuous requests for a little extra “financial institution leniency” when it’s needed most.

When I got there, they looked at my file and more or less said, “You know what, we’re not giving you a loan.” I haggled, I pleaded, I begged to no avail – because when you actually need money, you won’t get it from a bank.

…Noorster writes in this post.

Despite a sense of bank hierarchy randomness, she discovers there is (seemingly) a method to the madness.
