Express Divorce
They got married a week before Passover and divorced before the 1st Seder. Going for the quick divorce world record? Perhaps.
No wait. That title would probably go to Britney Spears who married childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander during a weekend ‘party jag’ in Vegas..the marriage was annulled 55 hours later (funny what sobering up can do to a marriage).
Back to the Israeli couple from Ashdod: They were reportedly fighting from night one. She demanded he buy her a house. He said they would live with his parents. They spent the night apart and the next morning he headed straight for the rabbinical divorce court.
The rabbis advised they try to work it out. But the two quickly proved they weren’t going to work out thing one.
They split the wedding gifts and $$ – instead of returning it to family & friends. How classy – and spent the holiday apart.
All’s well that ends well.
