Yacht Camp

Kids sick of the tired old standard of swimming pool, ice-cream on a stick, mosquito biting, nature hike and sunburned body summer camp? Then why not “shake it up” a bit?

To the tune of 2900 Euros ($3900) your kids can partake of Summer Cruise Camp - a two-week yachting excursion for 15-18-year-olds.

Whadoo they get in exchange for your hard earned Euros? Courses in seafaring, navigation, yacht know-how and on-board chef’ing. And the occasional stop-off in Greece or Turkey for a little beach & bonfire action.

The camp, run by Israelis David Aviar and Shai Priov, is the upper crust summer alternative. “If a parent is going to send his kid to summer school, why not send him/her to us instead?” Aviar said in an interview with the Hebrew press. “At our camp a kid learns history, astronomy and geography.”

Start saving, Mom and Dad. It’s a pricey lesson in the finer points of our solar system.
