Not Invisible

This morning I ran into an old friend from San Francisco while he was on his morning walk and I was bicycling to my satellite office.

Through mutual friends I knew Gideon was here somewhere so running into him wasn’t a complete surprise. After San Fran he moved to New York and it’s been a coupla years since we last saw each other.

Anyhoooo…while we played ketchup, Gidi told me he put out a mini documentary sort of interview essay type film – Invisible Years - that’s now making the rounds on the film festival circuit. G’s a talented still photographer (check out the Cuba and Nightclub photo essay works) so the transition to film comes as no surprise.

“Invisible Years” focuses on the passage of lives of senior gay men. It was produced with the intent of fostering a greater understanding of ageing and to support and advocate for rights of senior gay people in the gay and straight communities.
