Is it 4:20 Yet?

Saturday marks International Marijuana Day (also Cinco de Mayo for those in the know) a day intended to rouse support for drug legalization.

In Israel, there’ll be public park parties: Tel Aviv’s Ha’Yarkon Park, Jerusalem’s Gan Sakher and in Eilat. But please don’t bring your home grown or home rolled. It’s not legal yet and undercover police will shut events down if they have to make arrests.

“We hope the new chief of police…will help us in legalizing (marijuana) in Israel because the preoccupation with marijuana smokers prevents them from dealing with the real problems,” event organizer and Green Leaf Party chair Ehud Shem-Tov told press.

Yes, well….Good luck!
