The Road to Petra

I have lusted after travels to Petra’s ancient remains for-just-about-ever. Well not forever. Since a peace deal was signed with Jordan in 1995 rendering travel from Israel accessible. I simply haven’t gotten around to making it happen. These things sometimes take time.

But lucky for us all, there are the intrepid who have made the journey AND post details AND post images of their sojourns.

Jerusalem Wanderings recently returned from a conference in Jordan which she has written about here. It appears to have been a joint Israeli-Palestinian conference aimed at dialogue-ing.

When the talk part finished, they all went to Petra together. I’m jealous.
