1st Aid for Drivers

A proposed new law:
Israel’s drivers will have to pass a First Aid Course before getting licensed.
The proposed law comes after a weekend hit and run accident that involved a motorcyclist who was crushed between two trucks and lay on the pavement as cars swerved around him. He died of his wounds.
“Some of the drivers who drove past said they didn’t stop because they didn’t know what to do (to help the man)” MK Limor Livnat, who is proposing the new law, explained to the Hebrew press.
Livnat is proposing that driving students learn minimum first aid procedures so that they’ll know what to do should any similar situation arise again.
