Guess Who’s Going Home?

Did Tony follow Haim’s lead or vice versa? I guess we’ll never know.

But after 40 years (!) as lead anchor with Israel Broadcast Authority’s (IBA) News, Haim Yavin is departing. Yavin will stay until the end of August and then he’ll probably host one of Channel 1′s interview format programs.

He started his career in radio in 1956 and then went on to “Mabat” (Channel 1′s news program) in 1968. Yavin literally became the icon of Channel 1 News throughout the years and has been coined “Mr. Television”.

Sad to see him go but he’ll still be around. And for a bit of trivia, his real name is Heintz Kluger..gee, guess where he was born?
