Jerusalem Day
Yesterday kicked off Jerusalem Day celebrations marking the 1967 reunification of Jerusalem I.e. Israel gained control of parts of the city previously under Arab possession.
This year’s Jerusalem Day slogan: Something Special for Everyone.
Because nearly every topic in these here parts is politically charged, broaching the subject means either stepping on toes or getting into lengthy explanations over why ambassadors to some countries refrained from attending official J-Day ceremonies or some political parties don’t recognize the day at all or others consider it catastrophic.
There are all sorts of goings-on in the city today so depending upon where your politics take you either Happy J-Day or um…have as pleasant a Tuesday as is possible.
