He’s 7 and he’s in second place in the world when it comes to chess.
Daniel Levin, a first grader from the Kiryat Motzkin area of Haifa, scored 2nd place in the World Children’s Chess Championship in Greece last week. He beat out contenders from 40 other countries in the Age 7 and under category. 1st place went to Puranik Abhimanyu Sameer of India.

“Some of the rounds against other competitors were very difficult and very long,” the young champ told Hebrew press. “Some lasted hours.”
As far back as kindergarten, young Daniel told his mom all he cares about is chess. Whew!
