Cocaine Bust

Enough of conflict, seriousness and all of that hard core stuff. Let’s talk about drugs.

Last week at Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport, roughly 2 k’s of pure cocaine was seized when agents suspected a shipment coming in from Colombia might be tainted.

The box packed with CD’s had already cleared U.S. customs en route to Israel but not without question. U.S. agents had raised eyebrows over the shipment but when they inspected the contents and found nothing questionable, they re-sealed the box and sent it on its merry way to Israel.

Here, customs officials searched and searched until someone had the idea of breaking open the actual CD containers. Voila. Score.

A 50-year-old originally-from-Colombia/now-working-in-Israel housekeeper was arrested in connection with the airport seizure. The package was addressed to the woman.

Well it’s better than swallowing the stuff!
