I Have a Dream
…Not that every valley shall be exalted and every hill and mountain shall be made low – that’s for another day.

This dream belongs to Not A Fish & it’s her vision of what Tel Aviv could be like if, as in Amsterdam, functional bicycle lanes criss-crossed the city and vehicles were banned from its center.
In my dreams, Tel Aviv is also a bicycle heaven with real bike lanes throughout. Most people use bicycles to get around (showers with hot and cold water are mandatory in all office buildings and schools, and employers are required by law to allow their employees to make use of them during the work day, within reasonable limits).
The center of the city* is closed to all private vehicles that do not run on alternative energy, such as electricity or solar, or something else I haven’t heard of, and even these private vehicles are heavily tolled for all but the aged and the handicapped.
