Ice Cream w/Humus

If you’ve been to San Francisco, you’ve probably heard of or eaten in the famous restaurant, The Stinking Rose. It’s all about the garlic i.e. the dishes are either heavy on the garlic or quirky and only about the garlic like the ice cream. I advise trying it – once – to be able to say you’ve done it.

Over at the Hummus blog, the talk of the day is about pretzels dipped in hummus. Not such a far stretch – I’ve seen people eat it that way at parties in the States. But in the Mid East, the combo might be construed as less than orthodox.

Yes, I admit to have eaten the delicacy…. I’m not proud of that though. And I never tried to convince myself that packaged hummus with pretzels will be good for me, or that it tastes good. writes Hummus blogger who was surprised to discover that his/her “secret snack” is now being marketed.

Sabra To Go (and a similar product from the competing Tribe brand) is a combination of packaged hummus with Pretzel Crisps. Something that most the hummus lovers I know wouldn’t admit of ever eating. We’ve all tried it of course. It is a reasonable solution to a state of serious hunger, when all you have is leftovers of both hummus and pretzels.

Read about it here. Pass the pretzels.
