Heartfelt Adoption
When Sharon Region police descended upon a “house” to arrest the head of household for outstanding debt, they were so taken aback by the reality of the situation greeting them that they immediately changed strategy.
“We couldn’t arrest him,” one of the officers on site told the Hebrew press.
What police discovered was a 9-person family – including seven children aged three to eleven – living in a storage shack. Their fridge was empty, their clothing tattered, the cupboards were bare & the kids had no books or book bags for school.

On the spot, one officer pulled a 100-shekel note from his pocket and gave it to the family and the officers raised another 1500 shekels for the family back at the station. They also gained permission from the regional chief of police to bring the family food from the station kitchen. The police “adopted” the family.
“The police is here to serve the public,” a senior police source told Hebrew press. “When people need help, that’s what we’re here for.”

That act of kindness makes the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob smile. It is like fragrant insense that rises to the feet of HIS throne.
