A Moment in Baseball History
Sunday officially marked the beginning of pro baseball in Israel and I’m glad I wasn’t there.

Not because I don’t like baseball or crowds or hot dogs or anything.
Because it was HOT! And I can’t imagine being with 4,000 other people in sweltering Tel Aviv heat watching a sport I sorta, kinda like but generally associate with high drama. Heck, I grew up in Cincinnati. Pete Rose? Marge Schott? And then in San Fran i.e. Barry Bonds ..Ech, drama, drama, drama.
But this was exciting stuff for true baseball fans and for the league and MOST of all for the people who have lived here for years and pine for the sport.
Congrats on all the people behind the effort. Enjoy, fans. I may be there when the weather cools…in November.
