Blogference blog roundup
It still seems kind of odd to blog a blogging conference, but that’s what lots of people were doing. Several participants reported going online and seeing pictures in flickr of the posts that were still going on. On this American Independence Day, before our American readers go out to their barbeques and fireworks, check out some of the English-speaking blogosphere’s take on the blogconference. (There were numerous other Hebrew blogs too, check out Google blogs for the list of those)
Besides Israelity’s own coverage here, here, here, here, and here, plenty of others were liveblogging Sunday and Monday’s event.
Elisheva describes the difference between Israeli and what she guesses of American blog conferences here
The Flat Panel has pics of promoting Internet TV, Om Malik (popular guy!), and the first day (a techie, not an academic, it seems)
Fili talks about the desire for Chinese blogging and meeting strangers who read your blog.
Xellular Identity has some great pics and fascinating comments here, here (apparently Israel is the first country with a blog), here, and a summary and pics of Or Malik’s presentation (why oh why did I decide to skip this one?) .
Garett Graff blogs about his presentation. Tel Aviv apparently isn’t what he thought it would be – I wonder what he expected.
Allison has some strong opinions about the first day.
Yael presented on the first day.
Just Code doesn’t like Microsoft’s giveaways (missed those) but Google’s shirt was great (I agree, and it had a cool Israeli flag – hope corporate doesn’t get mad)
Apparently there was a lot of purple, but only one pair of Crocs at the conference.
Wow, so many blogs that I’ve never heard of but need to start reading now.
… and, as I mentioned, flickr has tons of pictures of the event.
UPDATE: Fixed the pictures and just going to add the YouTube video of the bloggers (thanks Lisa for the heads up)
Miss any? Leave the link in the comments.

Hanan Cohen made a video called “what we look like,” in which he has various bloggers who attended the conference introduce themselves and recite their blog URL’s. Link is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wy9frg492Ao
Thanks for all of the links (you too Lisa!). It looks like the conference was a success – I wish I could have been there. If you can make it over to the states in November, there is a conference called PostieCon in Las Vegas that should be pretty interesting as well. It’s the one where they are announcing the winners of the Blogger’s Choice Awards.
Thanks again for the links!
