Search & Rescue
I have mucho respect and admiration for Search and Rescue (SAR) teams. Like the teams currently diving the Mississippi River following last week’s bridge collapse - now deemed “Recovery” rather than Rescue – or the people who sift through post-earthquake rubble looking for survivors.

Steve of Freedom Outdoors works as an international IT techie and moonlights as an SAR specialist.
Over the weekend, Steve & company searched for an Arad (think: desert) man who has been missing for a week. Steve blogged about it; he doubts the man will be found alive but doesn’t completely weight out a potential positive outcome.
That’s because last Spring, he had a SAR experience blogged about here, that he terms “a miracle.”
You’ll have to follow the link to find out but let’s just say: If you quarrel with your significant other and you live in the desert AND it’s nighttime, walking it off may not be your wisest option.
