There’s Always Next Year…
I found this Hebrew press story about jellyfish sort of ironic and funny.
In contrast to most summers when Israel’s offshore waters are rife with floating and stinging jellyfish, this summer’s population has been “understated”.

However, ahem, we’ll pay for it later. At least that’s what marine biologist Dr. Bella Galil predicts. According to Galil, during one particular year in the 90′s jellyfish were smaller than average and almost non-existent. But the following year the country got hit with super-sized, masses of the stinging floaters to make up for the void.
“There are cycles in nature and I’m sure next year we’ll be seeing a good number of them,” Dr. Galil told Hebrew press.
Gee, clap clap. Something to look forward to! I’ll be vacationing in the Antarctic.
