Picture Perfect
This is Abed and he lives in Tel Aviv’s ancient port city Jaffa. For those not in the know, Jaffa dates to the Bronze Age and embodies some impressive historical & architectural layers. The city’s populace is an eclectic mix of Arab and Israeli artists, business people, restaurateurs and shady criminals and gangs. There’s beauty and history/poverty & crime.
Abed was part of a team of local young people who participated in a summer photography workshop sponsored by UK and Israel backers of Sadaka Reut Center for Coexistence in Israel and blogged about here on “the other side”. Their photos were exhibited at Sadaka Reut.
The Other Side was instrumental in getting this project going and she’s got her finger in some other very important proverbial pies. She’s definitely one to watch.
