As the Globe Spins
If you’re ambling around Tel Aviv with not a whole lot to do and looking for some visual stimulation, you might want to head over to Rothschild Boulevard for the Globe Exhibit.
The exhibit is an open-air, on the boulevard type of thing: 100 globes representing Israel’s top 100 companies. (Like Fortune 500, maybe?)
The shebang is sponsored by Tel Aviv’s Stock Exchange (TASE) and the way it works is each company has a representative globe on the street.

From the looks of the images over at things.co.il, nighttime is optimal for viewing: the art pieces are lit up in a glowy kinda way.
If you want further info, check out local listings and read things.co.il’s take on the exhibit he deems slightly controversial.
Commercial companies that sponsor art is problematic. The artist isn’t free to fully express himself, since he must obey the company that funds his work. A artist with his muse dictated by a corporation can’t do whatever he wants.
