Ikea Savings Passed on to You

October 9, 2007 - 3:30 PM by

Delays in opening Israel’s 2nd Ikea branch are going to translate into very handsome savings for consumers.

The Rishon Le’Tzion branch was supposed to open doors in two weeks but is being held up by legal wranglings – bureaucratic grumblings brought about by the local business community petitioning against the mega-store’s impending presence in the area.

The hold up is delaying the Rishon branch opening by 2 months and that means a surplus of already ordered merchandise that’s hanging around waiting to be purchased. What to do?

Why put it all on sale to get it moving off the warehouse floor, of course. Even tho there’s a heckuva lotta floor there – 30 thousand square meters of it.

25% off opening sale. That’s the rumor. So get your wallets a-ready. Savings are gonna be good.
