Et Tu?
The 1st summer of pro-baseball in Israel came and went.
And whether the sport and league will carry on to next summer’s season remains questionable.

But before Americanskys have had half a minute to finish digesting that ballpark frank, it’s time to get out the 6-pack of Bud and mega size bag of Doritos.
Apparently, a football league (er, not the soccer kind, my Euro friends) is headed this a way. The tackle kind. With padding, helmets and forty yard lines.
Life in Israel writes about it here.
And this is the “official website”…
Hmmmm….Pass the salsa.

Are we talking American Doritos or Israeli? This is critical.
Ehhhhhh…..mah zeh first and ten???
American. Of course.
Both baseball and football will fail to take root in a serious way in Israel. Why? Because my fellow Israelis are far more European than American in attitude although it is something they may dislike to readily admit – maybe they do not realize it.
Ah, good, I don’t understand Israeli doritos (or Cheetos). Why do they need to be PARVE? They are supposed to be DAIRY!! Kosher? OK, don’t eat them with meat! But Doritos should be dairy!
