The Power of Language
Teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) to people with at least 2 other languages spinning around inside their heads can be challenging. And fun. And funny.

Or so Anglosaxy found out while tutoring his Russian students on conversational English language isms surrounding money.
To illustrate a point, Anglosaxy gave some language use examples. And here’s what happened:
I came up with some proverbs: money doesn’t grow on trees, time is money, and then I came up with saving your pennies for a rainy day…
*funny looks*
*smiles*
*giggles*
*breaks out into laughter*
I was bemused. WTF was so funny? They just couldn’t look me in the eyes without cracking up. I was starting to get paranoid, so asked them what was so funny.
Now did you REALLY think I’d deliver Anglo’s punchline here? Tsk tsk. Go on. We’ll wait.
Funny, eh?
