It’s not nice to say but it may be time to ready ourselves for a state funeral and a shift of power in these here parts.

Egyptian Prez Hosni Mubarak isn’t doing too well of late.

A month of so ago, three editors were “punished” i.e. sentenced/jailed for going to press with info on his failing health.

Now the news is a bit more public: He collapsed this week and is under “close medical supervision”.

This story doesn’t say what’s ailing him. But at 79 and with repeated itinerary cancellations, could be a whole host of things.

Keep your eyes on his son Gamal.
