Blind Tasting

Here’s an ultra-interesting new concept in dining and theater:
A cafe operated by the hearing impaired where servers sign or use pencil & paper to communicate with customers and a restaurant operated by sight impaired servers entailing diners sitting in the dark.

The concept is going into action in Tel Aviv’s Jaffa port from December 1 and aside from the cool variation on getting a glimpse into a different world, according to Imshin the overseeing chef is gourmet so the food’ll be good.
The concept comes from a vision-hearing impaired theater troupe called “Na La’Gaat” (Please Touch). They’re opening a center in the port and this is part of the project.
