Still Out

December 2, 2007 - 4:30 PM by

We’re nearly at the two month mark vis a vis the current nationwide teacher’s strike.

Think about that: 2 months. High school kids out of school for two whole months.

It’s insane & ludicrous. And yet, it IS, i’nt it?

Want to understand what it’s all about? Get more detail on issues holding up negotiations? Find out why we’re ALL stuck in this mire?

Then go over to This Normal Life where it’s all spelled out in conversational reader-friendly tones.

We’re lucky the teens aren’t torching cities.

  2. Well, this strike is good for me! I have parents sending their kids to work on their English at my school in Bat Yam. But, you’re right – this is insane! It’s crazier than life in Chelm! I tried explaining to my students tonight what Chelm is. This is not Israel – it’s Chelm! We have had three or four earthquakes in the past week or so and I just read on ynet we aren’t prepared for the ‘big one!’ We have a Prime Minister who shouldn’t be a dog catcher much less a prime minister!! Sometimes, I just feel like putting my head in the sand!!
