Spellcheck, spellcheck, spellcheck
There’s been a ‘lull’ since we checked in with the folks over at Zabaj.
But whenever we DO visit them, we’re NEVER disappointed.
What’s wrong with this picture? Were they drunk when they designed the sign? Probably not…they were probably just too lazy to use spell check before spending all that money on getting a big ass sign made

Go here to read all of it…

Actually Alchohol is an archaic spelling and not strictly speaking incorrect. It garners 2,150,000 google results.
This from dictionary.com:
The word alcohol appears in English in the 16th century, loaned via French from medical Latin, ultimately from the Arabic al-ku?l, meaning “collyrium”, the name of very finely powdered antimony sulfide Sb2S3 used as an antiseptic and eyeliner. Originally the he powder is prepared by sublimation of the natural mineral stibnite in a closed vessel.
The introduction of the word to European terminology in alchemy dates to the 12th century, by Latin translations of works of Rhazes (865-925), who described the art of distillation. Bartholomew Traheron in his 1543 translation of John of Vigo introduces the word as a term of “barbarous” (Moorish) authors for “fine powder”:
the barbarous auctours use alchohol, or (as I fynde it sometymes wryten) alcofoll, for moost fine poudre.
HOWEVER:
The d they tried to squeeze in and the squished R in Bar does appear to indicate that the signmaker was perhaps sampling the wares as he was doing his deed.
They should have just dropped the “r” in bar, left it squished against the “h,” and made is seem like they were from Boston. :)
