Meet the New Neighbors
The same guy who bought the old New York Times Building in mid-Manhattan last May recently purchased England’s most expensive home.

Move over, Posh Spice. Israeli billionaire Lev Leviev has come to town and he just snatched up a $70 million Hampstead home (that’s 35 million pounds, thanks to a weak dollar, wink wink) with a $100,000 bullet proof front door and an indoor swimming pool plated with gold mosaic tile.
The diamond mogul’s impending UK move has stirred controversy in Israel’s press as the public word on the street is he’s going due to dissatisfaction over Israel government policy.
Well that’s not novel.
I dunno. I’m inclined to believe the Reuters version claiming it has something to do with lower taxes across the pond.
Good luck in the new country/neighborhood/house
Should my friends & I bring our own pool towels when we drop by for the weekend?

My parents live next door.
Yeh right.
It’s nowhere near the UK’s most expensive house sale. That was a few years ago to Lakshmi Mittal for 70m POUNDS ($140m).
