Blogs, websites and the dailies are abuzz with yesterday’s announcement of Israeli film Beaufort being nominated for this year’s Best Foreign Language Film by the Academy…..

Beaufort centers around Israeli soldiers stationed in southern Lebanon during the 2000 war. The film’s main character, Liraz Liberti, is a 22-year-old outpost commander serving in Lebanon with his troops several months before Israel’s Lebanon pullout.

Check the trailer here. Oscars are February 24th. We’ll be watching!
