Family Week

An annual winter event in Israel is “Family Week” dedicated to celebrating family togetherness and bonding.

This week is Family Week and accordingly kindergartens, activity centers, schools and neighborhood recreation facilities are getting in on the action with planned events: crafts & games at the mall, parent-child breakfast prepping at school, sport activities at the rec center….

Definitely check out local listings for venues and tips on fun home projects -waltzing in the living room with the young ‘uns, scheming a science project together or preparing a meal – aimed at carving out quality family time.

If you’re in Tel Aviv, you might want to take the kids over to Weizman Center where a rather large mound of snow has been dumped outside the facility entrance for “deprived kids who haven’t experienced the cold, wet white” to play in.

Yes, I got hit with a snowball last night.
