Shopping Friday
We know things are bad in Sderot. And we know that local business people have been hit hard by the situation there.
It’s time to support Sderot’s community in a meaningful way. Because as this web message goes: We need to stand by brothers in need.
What to do?
Join a national effort to support Sderot residents next Friday, February 22nd.
Car convoys will be leaving Israel’s major cities and heading south to conduct Friday shopping in the shell-shocked city. So instead of hitting your usual haunts, head south to buy gifts, groceries, meds, shoes & clothing and while there, check into a local cafe for coffee and a meal.
Similar outings have pumped over 3 million shekels into Sderot’s ailing economy.
Convoys head out from the following points:
08:00 – Tel Aviv Bloomfield Stadium (next to “Gena Felafel)
07:00 – Haifa Congress Center
08:00 – Modiin – Parking Lot Across from the Municipal Building
07:30 – Jerusalem – Teddy Stadium
07:30 – Raanana – HaMashbir Parking Lot
08:00 – Rishon Le’Zion – Hai Kef
For details, check out this site.
Enough of: “What a terrible situation. Poor people.”
Time to get proactive!
