Kibbutz is Back?

After years of a major drop-off in Israel’s kibbutz lifestyle, this story reports a revival of sorts.

Hordes of young foreigners are landing on Israel’s doorstep to volunteer. So many, in fact, that the kibbutz head honchos are having to nod their heads and advise: “Oops, sorry. Not enough room at the Inn”.

Kibbutz Movement higher ups don’t know exactly what’s driving the current trend (Gee…think it might be the rumors of after hours partying, free room & board in exchange for some manual labor and the infamous liberal sexual goings-on?) but they’re pretty pleased.
