Globe Trotting

Globe trotter “Miss Worldwide” is a blogger in motion.

She recently lived in Israel for 6 months where she leaned Hebrew by default – it was the language in common shared with her Italian boyfriend at the time – and blogged about Israel-isms such as the Post Office logo:

What’s the deal with the Israel Post logo? Why is a deer the emblem of the Israel Post? Is the deer, like, known to be a typically Israeli animal? Maybe it’s because it’s fast, and it’s supposed to represent the efficiency of Israeli post. In that case, maybe they should have put a jook (giant Israeli flying cockroach) as their emblem. They’re fast too.

As she settles into London living, Miss Worldwide can’t help comparing current surroundings to a lifestyle left behind in Tel Aviv:

If London was a man, it would be a very charming, intelligent man, with a cool artistic career, with lots of interesting artistic friends, a nice apartment, and a good style. But he would also be a bit selfish, wouldn’t show his feelings, and would definitely not be ready to commit. It would be a man you’d be infatuated with because of his status, his looks and his coolness, but who wouldn’t make you happy, no matter how hard you tried. But you’d still find it so hard to let him go, just because you put him on a pedestal, and you just can’t face the fact that he is not for you. Maybe that’s it, Tel Aviv is the one, it’s where my home is…
