The Doctor is In
It took a few decades but guess who finally arrived in Israel?
The Doc.
And Oleh Girl Yael is thrilled.
I’ve been whining and whinging for years that we are still a third world country no matter how many brands of toilet tissue we have on our shelves because we do not have Dr. Pepper here. Well, welcome to the first world baby!
Personally I am loath to drink beverages that taste like my toothpaste but heck…what do i know?

Dr. Pepper’s been here for a while. In Jerusalem it’s at the Super HaMoshava and SuperDeal and other places.
Could this be an instance of Jerusalem being ahead of Tel Aviv? Nah, that could never happen!
Can we please get real Doritos next? PLEASE???
I second the real Doritos, and agree with Avi too – I saw Dr. Pepper at Bar Ilan University a few years ago. Still, it isn’t easily found. I wouldn’t call it Aliyah yet… I’d say the Doc is on Birthright Israel. :-)
lol, TalTalk. Birthright Israel. Benji: What’s up with the Dorito’s fixation? And what about Frito’s?
Israel does not need more American junk food. This type of “food” is one of the worst inventions coming from the US.
Do people want to look like so many Americans where xtra large is a normal size?
As for Dr. Pepper – the taste is disgusting.
Gracias, Stephanie. :-)
David-Joe – actually, yes. Cause then I’d be thin and hot by comparison.
And I’m all about importing Fritos, but then you have to have good chili for a Frito pie! :-)
The world is flat, man. Gimme Doritos!
It’s my favorite food, Stefanella. Fritos will suffice though. Mmmm….chili cheese flavor!

No wait. Wait wait. How about: Captain Crunch with Crunch Berries & milk followed by a bag of Lays’ extra crispy wavy brand chips? OMG!!! We’re headed down a slippery slope here, Mr. Lovitt. This-is-not-good
I am an American living in Israel for a year…Dr. Pepper where??? I live in Caseraea and Dr. Pepper was a staple in my diet in NY. I also miss the hairspray in the US. Israeli women are all so beautiful and have lovely hair…so they don’t need the industrial strengh we use in US. Miss it.
They have lovely hair…except for the ones with that ungodly color of red.
Future blog post! I called it!
