Well THIS is certainly the type of scenario you don’t want going down if you’re conducting a top secret military investigation.

According to Hebrew press, the Israeli army special investigations unit lost top secret files linked to a sensitive case pending against a high ranking intelligence officer.

As part of an information gathering effort, investigators appeared before a judge in Tel Aviv this week to secure search warrants for one of the country’s top corporations.

When the court session ended investigators forgot a handful of case-sensitive documents on the hallway bench outside the criminal holding area. The documents contained investigation details including suspects’ names.

“It’s an area traversed by dozens of convicts, families of convicts and attorneys,” Hebrew daily Maariv reported.

Maariv reports “local citizens” delivered the material to their doorstep.

The army is taking the matter seriously.

Uh oh.
