Beware of Red!

What a colorful country Israel is. Or, rather, what a color-centric country.

Crip and Blood bandana wars? Pshaw.

They haven’t met Rabbi Eliyahu Abarzel of Beer Sheba’s Rabbinical Court. Rabbi A. has struck up a new decree: Men, Rid Your Wardrobes of Red!

That’s because, according to Abarzel, red signifies Jacob’s brother Esau, a “demonic” figure in Biblical history…

And the first came out red, all over like a hairy garment; and they called his name Esau. …Genesis.

Okee dokee.

This is the same rabbi that years ago forbade women to wear red because of the color’s “harlot-esque properties”.

In case you were thinking of donning the ruby robes in private: The rabbi’s decree applies to in-house wear too. No red on the bod. Period.

Sheesh.

Maybe Rabbi A needs a hobby..???

    2. Israel should rid itself of the power that rabbinical courts have, especially over equal rights for women! Never mind demented rabbis!
