		<description>When I was a child the 10 agorot piece was loads of money. 4 or 5 of them (50 ag) bought you a kartiv (popsicle). I think an Artik was a bit more (ice cream covered with chocolate on a stick). One time I had a 5 lira note I had got as a gift from some kind adult, probably the largest amount of money I&#039;d ever handled, and was terribly embarrassed to be buying a popsicle with such an enormous fortune.

I think a piece of bazooka gum cost 5 ag. They were just phasing out the 1 ag, that&#039;s the one with the funny edge, and everyone was collecting them. Until recently my brother-in-law still had an enormous jar of them.</description>
