I am very worried about Barkat's plan to halt the light rail public transportation system in Jerusalem.
So much money has already been invested, and light rail has been proven to be cleaner than buses as well as substantially raise nearby land values and to be more efficient.

There is a reason that many great cities in the western world use rail today, either above or underground, I hope Barkat does not fullfill his promise and take Jerusalem a step backwards.

The persistent Israeli problem of religious versus the secular. Teddy Kollek was the best Jerusalem mayor and Israel ought to have wrotten into law that no law forcing anyone to obey religious dictates be made.

Medinat Israel is basd on the secular and anyone standing outside of that politically ought not be qualified to be elected.

Faith and force are synonymous whether it be the mystical humanism of the left or the religious faith of the other left.

Impeach the damn mayor!
