Brian Eno is a perfect example. His statement was a clear regurgatation of anti-Israel talking points, filled with lies and bias. Because they are famous, I fear the general public will believe these individuals to be actaul experts. "This is my first time seeing it. And to come tonight, I could almost not tear myself away from the sad news of what's happening to Israel. It's devastating. It's so nice that we have this happy movie for a change. Everything around us is so down and glum." Gee, thanks Anne. I didn't know you cared so much. I'm not really sure what kind of opinion this actress can really have on this subject but I guess it's nice that she cared enough to bring it to the limelight. Whatever. That's why I was shocked by his view on the Gaza action. He basically encouraged his viewers to side with Hamas against big bad Israel, and indicated that Hamas has a right to shoot rockets on a daily basis at Israel since they are, as he put it, "the homeless guy forced to live in the hallway." How can he ignore the fact that Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005, and that Hamas' stated goal is to destroy Israel, something they have been trying to do for 8 years by lobbing missiles at the south? I often feel that our biggest enemies are ourselves: Jews and Israelis who lead the way in demonizing Israel. Stewart is yet another example of this.
